Test the plan.

Two scripts are below. Say them to Cyrus in Chat, one line at a time. Wait until Cyrus ends with Say yes, then say yes. The first script is a sample week. It is not a copy of anyone's real plan.

Sample week

0 of 10

1. Set the work week

Checks: Basic availability

Say to Cyrus

I work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It takes me 20 minutes to travel each way. Keep those times unavailable.

2. Add exercise

Checks: A repeating routine with preferred days

Say to Cyrus

I want to exercise 4 times every week for 1 hour. Prefer Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evenings around 6:30 PM.

3. Add course study

Checks: A weekly hour target, with a limit on each session

Say to Cyrus

I want to do 6 hours of course study every week. You decide when to schedule it, but don't schedule more than 2 hours in one session.

4. Add a second subject

Checks: Keeping two studies off the same evening

Say to Cyrus

I also want 4 hours every week for reading. Don't put course study and reading on the same weekday evening.

5. Add a side project

Checks: A weekend preference that can use a weekday

Say to Cyrus

I want 3 hours per week for a side project. Prefer weekends, but use a weekday if necessary.

6. Add a weekly review

Checks: A short repeating block with a fixed day

Say to Cyrus

Add a 30 minute weekly review on Sunday evening.

7. Add an errand

Checks: A single midday block that is not a goal

Say to Cyrus

Add a 45 minute errand on Wednesday at 12:30 PM.

8. Add a short walk

Checks: A small habit that should not crowd the evenings

Say to Cyrus

Add a 20 minute walk on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday at 12:00 PM.

9. Protect Friday evening

Checks: A block of personal time that stays empty

Say to Cyrus

Keep Friday evening completely free. I don't want anything scheduled after work.

10. Ask for the whole week

Checks: Whether Cyrus can lay the week out and stop for a yes

Say to Cyrus

Now organise my entire week for me.

Stop here and look at the calendar. These 10 lines are the whole sample week. Work and the commute should stay put. Friday evening should be empty. Exercise should prefer those evenings. Course study should be in sessions of at most 2 hours. Reading should not sit on the same weekday evening as course study. The side project should prefer the weekend. Sunday should have the review, Wednesday the errand, and the short walk should sit at noon on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday. The week should not be packed into every free hour.

11. Add a meeting

Checks: A one-off appointment on top of the week

Say to Cyrus

I now have a client meeting Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8 PM. Add it.

12. Repair the clash

Checks: Moving what overlaps without dropping the important block

Say to Cyrus

Don't cancel anything important. Fix whatever this meeting conflicts with.

13. Move the meeting

Checks: A change of day and time

Say to Cyrus

Actually, the client meeting has moved to Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

14. Catch up a missed session

Checks: Still reaching the weekly hours after a miss

Say to Cyrus

I didn't complete yesterday's reading session. I still need to achieve my 4 hours this week. Fix my schedule.

15. Add urgent work

Checks: A deadline that outranks the learning goals

Say to Cyrus

I need to finish a report by Friday at 12 PM. I estimate it needs 3 hours of focused work. This is higher priority than my learning goals.

16. Stay late at work

Checks: One longer work day, and what has to move

Say to Cyrus

Tomorrow I have to stay at work until 7 PM. Reorganise anything affected.

17. Clear tonight

Checks: Dropping optional blocks tonight without touching Friday evening

Say to Cyrus

I'm tired tonight. Cancel all optional activities tonight and redistribute them without touching Friday evening.

18. Ask what changed

Checks: A plain explanation of the edits

Say to Cyrus

Show me what you changed and why.

19. Ask for too much

Checks: Whether Cyrus refuses to break work hours and Friday evening

Say to Cyrus

I also want 10 hours of extra study, 8 hours on the side project, exercise every day and another 6 hours of course study this week. Fit everything in without changing my work hours or Friday evening.

Cyrus should say what cannot fit. Work hours and Friday evening should stay as they are.

Shorter checks

1. Clear the plan

Say to Cyrus

remove everything

Cyrus should ask to take the goals off and clear every planned day. It should not start deleting before you answer. Say yes to Cyrus. Goal should be empty. This week on Schedule should be empty. Holidays under Later go too, because they are planned days from today on.

2. Add the week

Say to Cyrus

Office Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm. Study Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm for 1 hour. Gym Wednesday and Friday at 6pm for 1 hour. Team meeting Wednesday at 10am. Dentist appointment Friday at 2pm.

Cyrus should end with Say yes to add these. Say yes to Cyrus. Then check this week: Office is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Study is Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm. Gym is Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 pm. Team meeting is Wednesday at 10:00 am. Dentist appointment is Friday at 2:00 pm. Those repeating goals are only placed on this week. Later weeks stay empty until you add them again.

3. Add the holidays

Say to Cyrus

add all the public holidays in Victoria

Say yes to Cyrus. They show under Later, not on this week. The Friday before the 2027 AFL Grand Final stays missing.

4. Take one thing off every day

Say to Cyrus

remove dentist appointment from all the schedule

Say yes to Cyrus. The dentist comes off. Office, Study, Gym, and the Wednesday meeting stay.

5. Change one day

Say to Cyrus

remove study tomorrow

Say yes to Cyrus. Study comes off tomorrow only. The other Study day stays. Office on that day stays. When today is Monday, Tuesday loses Study and Thursday Study stays.

6. Two things at the same time

Say to Cyrus

Team meeting Tuesday at 7pm.

Say to Cyrus

remove team meeting on Tuesday

Say yes to Cyrus after the first line. Tuesday then has Study and Team meeting both at 7:00 pm. Cyrus will place both. It does not pick a new time on its own. Then say the second line to Cyrus and say yes. Tuesday keeps Study at 7:00 pm. Wednesday's 10:00 am meeting stays.
